A quiet space ideally suited to the business or pleasure traveler, and for those seeking longer-term accommodations.
Ernie and Sandra Morello, the owners of this grand old building, first renovated the space in 1990, converting it for apartment use. In 2003, the first tourist apartment (28-1), a one-bedroom, was renovated and furnished. Next, the bachelor apartment [28-1(B)] was created, and in 2009 the second floor apartment (28-2) was converted to a furnished unit.
The Morellos love the unique character of this building, with its post and beam construction, wide baseboards and door frames, high ceilings, staircases, and interesting history. Even the large Linden and Elm trees out front add a grandeur to the site. Its location, close to Charlottetown Harbour and Victoria Park - a significant green space in our city - is ideally situated for travelers and those looking for a longer stay.
